MAJOR NEWS

I flew back to Rome last weekend, was home for a couple of days and yesterday I took the 4am flight to Paris, spent the day there and flew back at night.

Long story short: I NOW HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN PARIS!!!

The whole story: We arrived so early and went straight to see the house, my stop is Trocadéro, so I get to walk straight up to the Eiffel tower to get to and from there, to uni everyday. I can’t believe I found my house in the XVIth arrondissement, I’ve heard people compare it to NYC’s Upper East Side and it definitely looks like it. I basically have a Pierre Hermé right beneath my house! 

The house is so so so so perfect I cried when I walked in. It’s a mini loft with a mezzanine floor for my bedroom/wardrobe area, I’m on the 7th and last floor and have a big balcony where I can eat with a view of Parisian roofs, a huge area of Paris and the Eiffel tower, I can actually see it from a window right above my stove, my bed, and from my shower!!!

We then went to the notary to sign the house papers. By then it was beautiful weather, and we went and had lunch at Cafe de Flore (!!!!!!!!!!!!) with my mum, strolled through St Germain de Pres, the Seine and the Louvre, and stopped by La Durée before returning to the airport.

All of this feels so surreal. The house is too perfect for me to believe it, I think I’m going to have the best year of my life in Paris.

November+December

My autumn was swell; I visited Cambridge, my mum came to visit me and we toured in London and always had breakfast in bed, and term didn't even feel too long. But when the time came to go home to Italy, I was ecstatic and in serious need of food. I spent a wonderfully lazy December between Rome and Calabria taking walks with my dog on the beach, in the beautifully xmasy-lit center of Rome and eating far, far too much panettone.

My weekend back home in Italy was slow, warm, and completely revitalising. Here's a few snaps I took with my dad's old camera.

A week ago I was supposed to visit my stepsister in Germany but my flight got cancelled. Still made the most out of the trip to Heathrow and had a stroll through Harrod's, South Kensington and the London Eye instead.

Almost forgot! I have the most exciting news.... I'M MOVING TO PARIS NEXT SEPTEMBER!!!
Words can't describe, the excitement is unbelievable.

Busy week ahead, I'm taking photos at the Brighton Vintage Fair tomorrow, have a fashion show on wednesday and going to Cambridge for the weekend.

A midsummer night's post

Finally back to updating, on the terrace with a view of the sun going down behind the beach, drinking some almond milk.. this is the life!

Three weeks ago two of my high school friends came to visit me in Italy. In Rome I brought them sightseeing, made them try the best food in town, made piña coladas by the pool and at that perfect time of day when the sun is setting and the sky is a beautiful pink we drove around in my convertible Fiat 500 in search of the perfect aperitif spot.
We then traveled to my beach house in Southern Italy and spent an incredible beachy weekend there. More fantabulous food ensued, of course.

We then flew back to Vienna, where I finally got to see more of my high school friends. Such a laid back, spontaneous, dessert-for-lunch, perfect summer-chilled week! We beat the heat by travelling to nearby lakes, mountain tops and adorable smaller Austrian towns. We also did some Geocache treasure hunts through the city, you should check that website out, it drove us a bit crazy but so much fun!

I am now back in Southern Italy, but guess what? I'm off to Austria again in four days for the FM4 Frequency festival!

The Killers, The Black Keys, The Cure, The XX, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Hives, Placebo, Hot Chip, Lykke Li... and so many more!

Beyond stoked! I flipping love festivals. Give me a day when I get back to recover from the 4 days of camping but expect a massive, fun post about that when I get back!
